2017-2018 Yearbook Cover Competition:
Both of our 5th and 6th graders will be entering Middle School next year so we wanted to give them a more active role in the creation of our 2017-2018 Yearbook! 6th grade is running the yearbook club (a long-lasting, multi-step PBL) and they kindly opened up a competition between them and 5th grade! We have so many talented students at Witt, so it was not an easy decision. However, we would like to offer a BIG Congratulations to our very own 5th grade student, Ava Snyder!!!! Your beautiful art will be displayed across your final yearbook of Elementary School! We are all so proud of you! Way to go!

Principally Speaking:
We have lots of opportunities for parents this week. We have a PARTners PTO meeting this week on Thursday - they meet in the library Thursday at 4:00 PM. The Accountability committee will be discussing budget this week on Thursday - they meet in the office conference room at 4:30 PM. We will be taking the Make Your Voice Heard survey starting this week. There will be papers sent home on Monday if you do not want your student to take the survey. The survey helps the school, from a students point of view, know if we are doing well and where we need to make some adjustments. We are continuing our Second Step lessons, Engineering and Technology lessons this week with all of our students.
